BuzzFeed Posts Job Listing for Islamophobia Reporter

Get ready for a lot more REALLY fake news.

Buzzfeed, the viral online curator of all things progressive, is looking to expand its team by hiring a qualified candidate to cover Islamophobia in America.

According to the job listing posted online, “BuzzFeed News is looking for someone to join our ambitious national news team to cover Muslim life and Islamophobia in America.” And no, this isn’t for the inexperienced journalist. BuzzFeed is looking for someone who can truly capture the fears of Muslims in America:

This is not a job for a beginner. We need an experienced journalist who can combine great writing, quick thinking, and in-depth reporting to get scoops, produce quick-hit enterprise pieces off the news of the moment, spin out smart analyses, and write long-form features. The strongest candidates will have a record of covering immigration issues and Islam and will be able to capture the tensions, hopes, worries and fears of Muslims in America -- both those who are new arrivals and those who have been born and raised here… We’re not looking for a reporter to parrot what others are doing; we’re looking for someone with the sources, experience, and open-mindedness to break stories everyone else has to follow, and to tell them in a compelling manner.

This policy of “open-mindedness” has led BuzzFeed to be one of the most popular publishers of anti-conservative and anti-Christian articles on the net. In a recent hit piece about the HGTV designer duo Chip and Joanna Gaines, the headline bemoaned the fact that this famous Christian couple dares attend a church that preaches against same-sex marriage.

When they’re not covering that, the site is making its viral “listicles” of how whites are a “plague to the planet" or are busy declaring the "fact" that Donald Trump is a racist.

In the era of “fake news,” BuzzFeed leads the pack.
