The Baltimore Ravens have let Ray Rice go.

According to ESPN, just hours after TMZ’s breaking video showing Rice knocking out his fiancée in an elevator, the Ravens terminated the running back’s contract.

Rice’s initial punishment was a 2-game suspension but following the release of the video and the intense backlash that the Ravens and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell received, the Ravens had no choice but to cut Rice.
