Austin Protesters Chant 'What's Better Than Dead Cops? More Dead Cops'

A video has been circulating the internet over the last few days of young protesters in Austin, Texas, chanting in favor of killing mass numbers of cops. This was just prior to the shootings of 4 police officers elsewhere in the South within a 24-hour period.

The young people, some uniformed in skinny jeans and red face masks with the Communist hammer-and-sickle emblem printed on them, were apparently protesting Donald Trump and his intention to bring law and order back to America. At least one protester waved a red flag with the hammer-and-sickle.

The video clip above begins with the protesters chanting“F*ck the police” as they march down an Austin sidewalk with police patrol cars escorting them. Then the chanting changes to, "What's better than one dead cop?" "Two dead cops!" came the reply. "What's better than two dead cops?" "Three dead cops!" And so on. The number reaches 15 dead cops before the chanting and the video stop.

This shameful display came days before Detective Benjamin Marconi was shot and killed while sitting in his car outside of the San Antonio Police Department, about 80 miles away from where this video was shot. Three other officers were shot within a 24-hour period, in St. Louis, Missouri; Gladstone, Missouri; and Sanibel, Florida.

As the Blue Lives Matter website notes, these courageous rebels hiding their identities behind the red facemasks look exactly like the protesters who stood outside the Texas State Capital building in protest this weekend, armed with rifles and holding a sign that read “Make racists afraid again.”
