Chris Pratt triggered an always-offended Left with an Instagram post they felt was offensive to deaf people.
The social media post in question has since been deleted by the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 actor, but it was simply a way to advertise the sequel that released over the weekend. Playfully, he encouraged his followers to “turn up the volume” and “listen up” instead of reading the closed captions on screen.
“You’d rather read those than hear me?” he wrote.
Bad move, Star-Lord.
Social justice warriors pounced and shamed Pratt into an overly gushing apology — an apology completely unnecessary to this petulant, PC crowd. But he did so anyway, and as the good guy that he is, Pratt delivered it in sign language:
But even that wasn’t good enough for leftists who criticized the actor’s just-learned signing skills:
Hopefully, Pratt has learned that it’s best to ignore the petty Left and go on living out his First Amendment rights. They do, why shouldn’t he?
This is the second time in less than a month that Pratt has offended the PC police. A couple of weeks ago, Pratt said Hollywood movies don’t resonate with blue-collar Americans because their stories aren’t represented on the big screen. A senior editor at Marie Claire chalked his statement up to wanting more stories about “straight, white male[s].”
In 2015, Pratt made it clear he knew the potential of offending SJWs as he embarked on a promotional tour for Jurassic World. But before speaking to a single person in the press, Pratt jokingly issued a blanket pre-apology for anything he might say that could be misconstrued as offensive and even hashtagged his potential blunders as #JurassicGate.
But how about this for an idea? No more apologies to the Left, ever.
