Yawn: Another 'Comic' Bashes Christianity, Misrepresents Judaism, Likens Abortion to AAA Towing

Don't you love it when a leftist schools you on a religion they know nothing about?

The following incident perfectly illustrates why, a) comedy is dead; and b) leftists don't know a thing about religion -- even the ones they've supposedly "studied."

During his May 26 show, Conan O’Brien's invited guest was alleged "comic" and recent convert to Judaism, Natasha Leggero, who proved she is neither funny, nor versed on some rather important aspects of her new religion.

After a predictable rant in which she bashed Catholicism for its mean nuns and pedophile priests (seriously, are comics even capable of writing original material anymore?), Leggero shared what she considers the best part about Judaism.

"Abortions are cool." So "cool" in fact, according to the misguided entertainer, that you can even have them on any major Jewish holiday. They're as readily available as AAA car-tows.

This is what Leggero apparently gleaned after allegedly taking "19 four-hour courses" on Judaism.

Newsbusters provides the video and transcript:

“[M]aybe they hate women, because nuns were so mean to me,” she said before slyly inserting, “and of course, the priests are like so nice to the boys.”

She found Judaism, on the other hand, a “beautiful religion.”

“You get to have a weekly Shabbat,” she gushed, “which is just like a party every Friday.”

In the middle of her appearance, Leggero revealed just why she was such a fan of Judaism: abortion.

“You’re part of this beautiful religion seeped in culture,” she gushed about her new religion, before adding, “Abortions are cool.”

Luckily, Conan didn't seem enthused and challenged the "comedienne":

“I don’t think they go around saying ‘abortions are cool,’” he said. “Not like the Fonz” (a famously “cool” character from Happy Days).

After a back-and-forth in which Conan insisted that no, in fact, no one calls abortion "cool," Leggero doubled down:

“No, they do!”

“I mean, you could get an abortion on every Jewish holiday and it would be okay,” she hyped.

That's when things got weirder.

Leggero, perhaps in a desperate attempt to be "funny" then likened abortion to a AAA membership replete with free tows.

“I'm not saying I am going to get an abortion but, you know, it’s just nice to – it’s like AAA. Like, you're not going to use all those tows, but – no, it’s just nice to know –”

That's when the audience began to boo. Conan's follow-up response was as funny as it was cutting:

“I just was given a signal; the Jews don’t want you anymore.”

The audience clapped in approval.

Leggero, sensing she lost her audience, then tripled down, "Don’t clap that!" she told viewers. "[Catholics] believe that even if you are raped, you should not get an abortion."

"This is my comedy act," she explained before Conan interjected:

"I don't know what religion you're going to be in a year, but it will not be either Jewish or Catholic."

We couldn't agree more, Conan.
