Gal Gadot is the new -- and very awesome -- Wonder Woman. She's also Israeli, spent two years in service for the Israeli Defense Forces, and is very outspoken against Hamas. She's basically a nightmare to social justice warriors and, of course, her nemeses at Villainy, Inc.
In a Facebook post from 2014 during the Gaza conflict, Gadot, who earned the title of combat trainer while in the IDF, wrote:
I am sending my love and prayers to my fellow Israeli citizens. Especially to all the boys and girls who are risking their lives protecting my country against the horrific acts conducted by Hamas, who are hiding like cowards behind women and children…We shall overcome!!! Shabbat Shalom! #weareright #freegazafromhamas #stopterror #coexistance #loveidf.
And because of these sentiments, social justice warriors are attacking the actress as a "Zionist" on social media and wishing for her new film to fail -- which it won't. Other SJWs are conflicted because on one hand, Wonder Woman is a strong, female character but on the other, she's a "racist." Here is a sampling of some of the hate coming her way, compiled by James Barrett at Daily Wire:
"I want Wonder Woman to succeed so bad but I also don’t support Gal Gadot and her Zionist opinions Help"
“We could’ve had a woc [woman of color] wonder woman, instead we got a white zionist”
"also im feeling more than slightly disillusioned abt wonder woman now that i realize what a vehement zionist gadot is..."
"I like Gal Gadot as wonder woman. She does an alright Job as Diana. BUT. She is a Zionist and we Cant Forget that. she is Super Problematic"
"Can’t really bring myself to like the Wonder Woman trailer since Gal Gadot is an outspoken Zionist who boasted about killing Palestinians"
"I just found out Gal Gadot is a Zionist. Wonder Woman cancelled"
"When you were super pumped for the Wonder Woman movie as its female led but realise Gal Gadot is a Zionist"
"my 6-year-old watching the new wonder woman trailer "gal gadot is an ex-idf zionist who supports the occupation and oppression of the palestinians"
The rest of us will gladly take these vacant seats at the theater and cheer on an ally and a real-life super heroine.
