CNN's very own Wolf Blitzer will be awarded with the Lew Klein Excellence in the Media Award from Temple University. The honor will be presented on October 29th and Blitzer will be the 15th recipient of the award.
Seven alumni from Temple's School of Media and Communication also will be honored. They include "Arrested Development" and "Biggest Loser" producer John Foy and Detroit Public Television President Ritschard Homberg.
Past recipients of the Lew Klein Excellence in Media Award include Anderson Cooper, Robin Roberts, Matt Lauer, Charles Osgood and Brian Williams. Yes, Brian Williams.
The award is named after "broadcasting pioneer" Lew Klein, who developed television programming and produced shows such as the Philadelphia Phillies telecasts.
