View Hosts Side with Carly as Hillary Laughs at Threat

The View's Paula Faris and Joy Behar defended Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina while chastising Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Wednesday. The odd move for hosts of the left-wing show came a day after Hillary Clinton laughed as a man said he wants to reach through the TV and strangle Fiorina every time he sees her on TV.

Faris came to Clinton's defense first saying, all politicians should be held to the same standard and that other politicians have been criticized for not correcting people in their town halls.

"We're talking about violence against a woman, we are talking about strangling a woman here," Faris said.

While not all of her co-hosts agreed, Behar did.

"If somebody had said that to Donald Trump and he had laughed, we would be ripping him a new one and she did not -- she should have stood up to him," Behar said.

The defense of Fiorina comes a week after the Republican hopefuls face was described as "demented" by hosts on the popular morning show.
