University Stationing Police Officers Outside ‘White Racism’ Class

The professor was inundated with hate mail over the course. Well, duh!

Not only is Florida Gulf Coast University allowing one of its professors to teach a racist class, they’re also providing him police protection so he can spread hatred against whites worry-free.

After announcing the course, “White Racism,” Professor Ted Thornhill said he was inundated with “disturbing” e-mails, voicemails, and other messages of complaint. Why this was at all surprising to him, he didn’t say. No one threatened violence against the professor, but he said he was cursed at and called every name in the book. Thornhill said the blowback caused concern for some students taking the class.

So, the university responded by stationing two police officers outside the classroom.

Thornhill said, “I think most of us don’t anticipate there being any unrest or protest or anything like that, but it’s more of a prudent measure to have law enforcement present just in case.”

A university spokesman said, “We have prepared for any possible distractions related to Tuesday’s first class of the White Racism course, but we are expecting normal campus civility as our students engage in this and other courses at the spring semester’s start.”

According to The Blaze, “The course will cover white supremacy and white dominance in America, and ways to challenge the policies and practices that reinforce those things.”

No word if any police officers will be stationed outside the “Black Racism” class. Oh, wait, Florida Gulf Coast University doesn’t offer that course. Our mistake.
