Instead of going to college and being exposed to a plethora of opposing viewpoints, students at the University of Colorado have been given the opportunity to shelter themselves away from any ideas not their own.
The Boulder campus has transformed one of its residence halls into a “Social Justice Living Environment,” according to HeatStreet, which means its become the most segregated location at the school.
It’s a three-tiered dormitory and offers a “safe space” for so-called marginalized groups. There’s one for “LGBTQIA” students, one for “students passionate about diversity,” and one for black students and their “allies.” Of course, the qualifier “identified” is added to each one. So, you don’t even have to be queer or actually black to move in. Simply self-identifying as such is your ticket to living in this liberal utopia.
In addition to all the snowflakes living under one roof, the residence hall offers “Spectrum LLC” — which stands for Living Learning Communities — and features gender-neutral bathrooms and activities that focus on “dialogue and support.” That program is expanding next year to “Multicultural Perspectives LLC” and will further include both “diversity-passionate students” and “black-identifying students.”
Instead of resident advisors, the leaders in the dorms are called “peer mentors” who “provide individual support to students” and help guide student activities in conjunction with UC-Boulder’s gender studies program and its women’s resources and diversity departments, HeatStreet notes.
No news from the university as to when the dorm rooms will be ready for the white, conservative-identifying students who remain the most targeted people on campus.
