Presidential candidate Donald Trump says he feels much safer being armed. The political personality appeared on "Face the Nation" on Sunday and said about his concealed carry permit, "I feel much safer being armed."

Trump told host John Dickerson he got a carry permit years ago because "I like to have myself protected" although he only sometimes carries a gun. He described himself as "a big Second Amendment person."

Regarding the shooting Umpqua Community College, Trump said that is someone would have been carrying a concealed weapon " the result would've been better."

He wouldn't say if everyone should carry a concealed weapon. "That's up to them. But I will tell you, I feel much better being armed."
