Salon Tops Itself For Most Awful Tweet Ever With This Paris Attack Reaction

And we're including Anthony Weiner in "ever.'

On Friday night, Salon had pretty much the worst possible tweet in the wake of the terror attacks in Paris. To call it vile would be trite. See below.

Real terror unfolds in Paris. Perhaps this will convince the right to done down their incessant violent rhetoric."

It is not just the stupid premise, or the embarrassing typo, or the fact that they're making it about them instead of about the dead Parisians, or the absolutely classless timing, or the lack of self-awarenes .. wait, yes. It is those things. And in the article it links to, which we aren't going to link to here, the author, who we are certain has some kind of name, says this:

In the United States, the right-wing media and movement conservatives have for decades consistently used eliminationist and other violent rhetoric to describe liberals, progressives and other people with whom they disagree. As was seen in the recent attacks on a Charleston-area black church, and other violence by right-wing anti-government militias, such rhetoric does not float in the ether of the public discourse, harmless and unacknowledged. No, it does in fact lead to action.

If you aren't familiar with the word "eliminationist", it has an actual meaning, but currently it's just a very popular way for tiny intellect liberals to label anything that suggests they might be wrong. As in, 'you said I'm wrong, you must want to eliminate me.' How people talking nasty about liberals in America somehow translates into an Islamic attack on Paris is not clear from the stupid article that we couldn't finish reading due to gagging on a broken "hypocrisy" reflex.

Liberals routinely silence speech. It is the very essence of the "safe space" marchers we've seen on campuses this week. It is what Bill Nye wants to do to skeptics of climate justice. Republicans are regularly painted as war criminals, war mongers, and people who "enjoy the deaths of children" because of support for the NRA. Spare us your righteous indignation Salon,.

Oh, the tweet they topped? The said women in America have fewer rights than those Islam gave them centuries ago. Seriously. They tweeted that.

The Twitter backlash was swift and is worth checking out.
