Something a little lighter after a week of incessant replays of the Ray Rice video and an unconstitutional declaration of war:
TheBlaze TV’s Dana Loesch hosted a panel of food chain experts to answer the real question that's been on everyone’s mind: Would you actually pay $100 for the Olive Garden Never Ending Pasta Pass? The results were insights into why the world hates America, the statistical absurdity of the gluten-free trend, and the unintended global consequences of Michelle Obama’s anti-fat people campaign.
After saying that Olive Garden was “aggressively mediocre,” guest Steven Crowder explained that the world hates America and capitalism precisely because we can afford to offer Never Ending Pasta Passes and our First Lady can spend her entire tenure trying to stop Americans from eating all our excess food:
Crowder: I’m saying that countries don’t have any food and their going Americans are going to gorge themselves on pure sugar pasta to prove that they can. And some kid in Zambia is hearing Michelle Obama saying, “Obesity is our biggest problem, it’s an epidemic.” He’s trying to get his head around it.
TruthRevolt’s Jeremy Boreing, the only panelist who said he would purchase a pasta pass, gave some context to Olive Garden’s desperate marketing stunt:
Boreing: They’re trying to pull a stunt because their sales numbers are down because all the sudden... 50% of the people in this country have gluten intolerance that statistically only affects one in a thousand people.
After fessing up about being “Lacto-Paleo,” Loesch agreed with Boreing on the gluten-free craze currently taking a toll on chains like Olive Garden, while Lawrence Jones argued the real problem is OG never offers meat in their special deals.
