Taco Bell Uses Ronald McDonald to Promote New Menu

Soon after Taco Bell used real life Ronald McDonalds to promote their new breakfast menu McDonalds responded.

Taco Bell has released a new ad in which they featured men from across the country named Ronald McDonald trying and liking their new breakfast menu. Ad Week featured the spot as their "Ad of the Day" on Thursday and McDonalds was quick to respond.

On Friday, McDonald's posted to their Facebook page,

McDonald's was using a little chihuahua as a harken back to the late 1990s, when Taco Bell used the chihuahua as a spokesdog in their ads "Yo Quiero Taco Bell." Sadly, the little pooch died in 2009.

During a Reddit chat on Friday, Taco Bell's president told Canadians they to could enjoy the new breakfast menu, but only once they take back Justin Bieber. And one redditor put together a not-so-flattering take on the new breakfast fare.
