‘Sunday Night Football’ Ratings Plunge to New Lows

Probably should’ve remained standing, huh?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC’s Sunday Night Football most likely won the ratings game last night, even beating out AMC’s The Walking Dead mid-season finale. However, compared to last year, the results are pretty abysmal.

The Pittsburgh Steelers eked out a 39-38 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday evening, bringing down an 11.6 overnight rating, but that’s down 30 percent from last year when the New York Giants took on the Dallas Cowboys. In addition, viewership was down 11 percent from other primetime matches from previous weeks.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen… straight to their knees.
