While J.K. Rowling and other leftists try to figure out who “radicalized” the “white van driver” who drove a rented van into a group of Muslims in front of a North London mosque, his family and neighbors are revealing that Darren Osborne was mentally unstable drunk who committed a despicable act. 

The Daily Mail spoke to the man’s family who gave insight into the mind of the 47-year-old man. The suspect’s sister told DM that her brother was “deeply troubled… never normal” and tried killing himself six weeks ago by jumping into a river. Osborne had also pleaded with his family to commit him to a mental institution after another rough break-up with his girlfriend, with whom he has four children. 

The sister added:

“He never learned not to react. He stabbed a car and cut the nerves on two of his fingers. And he never got that treated so his fingers are a bit strange. He broke both of his ankles so he walks a bit funny. 

“He tried to steal ten quid from our Grandpy when he was only little. And it was our mum who called the police.

“He was on anti-depressants. He came to see me after he tried to kill himself. He showed me the bump on his head. I don't know how he got out of the river, or really what happened.

“He asked me if he could stay. But he has made my life a misery over the years. Weston is a small town. Everyone knows Darren. I've lost jobs, boyfriends after people found out I am Darren Osborne's sister. And this happened on my birthday, on my 50th birthday.

“But Darren is not racist, he is not a terrorist. He is someone who is lost. He needs help. I feel so sorry for the people he hurt.

“He is not well but I'm angry with him. I am his complete opposite. I am interested and admire Asian and eastern culture.”

The sister said their 72-year-old mother is “broken for life” over what her son did. The mother told DM, 'I'm not going to defend him but you know he's my son and it's a terrible terrible shock. It's not just robbing the bank, it's an atrocity. At this moment in time I can't cope with it.”

Then there are the man’s friends and neighbors, as DM reports:

Friends have described him as a 'bloody psycho' who had a reputation for drunken fights - one neighbour said the unemployed mechanic was always arguing with people in the street and said: 'He's always been a complete c*** - but this is surprising'.

MailOnline can reveal he was known as 'Mr Moody' in the suburb of Cardiff where he had a volatile on-off relationship with the mother of his four children Ms Andrews, who left him six months ago.

He frequently spends nights in a small tent in woodland near his family's three-bed home - or would sometimes even camp in the tiny back garden.

Unemployed Osborne installed a hot tub in garden earlier this year and whiled away the hours downing cans of lager.

As TruthRevolt reported on Tuesday, Osborne had a run-in with a Muslim neighbor a few days before the attack. He called a 12-year-old boy an “inbred” as he rode his bike in the street.

On the day of the attack, Osborne was reported to the police for being drunk and sleeping in the van he had rented. However, officers left after ruling that “no offenses” had occurred.

Leading up to his drunken nap, Osborne was kicked out of a pub for “cursing Muslims” and threatening to “do some damage.”

And that he did, killing one man and injuring others. After he was wrestled to the ground, he shouted, “I’m going to kill all Muslims. I did my bit.”

But even so, leftists are hard at work, painting a narrative of a vast, right-wing underground of radicalized lone-wolf Islamophobes preparing to attack Muslims. It’s just not true. But it remains true that more than enough Muslims intend to do us harm and are doing so on a near-daily basis in Paris, Brussels, London, Manchester, and as of Wednesday, Flint, Michigan. There’s no “gotcha” moment, here. Sorry.
