Sharpton: True Meaning of Easter is Reavealed Through Obama

On Tom Joyner's morning show Wednesday Al Sharpton revealed what he thinks Easter is really all about.

During an interview on The Tom Joyner Morning Show Wednesday, Al Sharpton gave his interpretation of the true meaning of Easter and how, in his opinion, it involves President Barack Obama.

Sharpton was sure to add the caveat that he was not directly comparing Obama to Jesus when he said in the interview,

... the story of Easter and my message for this Easter session is no matter what unearned suffering you go through, that if you know you can rise above it, don't become like the diseases that you fight.

As I looked at President Obama at our convention last Friday where all he took he's been able to rise politically again... I'm not comparing him to Jesus, but I am saying that to every crucifixion there is a resurrection for those who believe.

Breitbart has the audio of the interview where Sharpton also said that the average person can be persecuted and "crucified" at home or work. Sharpton also said Americans should not lose the meaning of Easter and become too materialistic. Joyner said that Sharpton's comments were some good "preachin'."
