Sharpton named his and his staff's top political turkeys for 2013. He proudly exclaimed he and his producers had crunched the numbers and finally settled on their top three.

Sharpton and his staff had no issues lumping in a disgraced crack-smoking drug user with two well-known Republican politicians. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) was number three on his list, with Sharpton's obvious disapproval of her outspoken remarks about Obamacare. The number two spot went to Toronto, Canada's now infamous Mayor Rob Ford. Sharpton then proudly gave the number one spot to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who he called "Sen. Shutdown!" referring to the government shutdown that occurred in October and Cruz's faux-libuster.

Sharpton called Sen. Ted Cruz "the ultimate turkey of 2013, then continued:

Ted Cruz, congrats the turkey of the year... the blueberry pies are in the mail! Gobble gobble!
