Sharpton Gives Obama a 'Hallelujah'

Al Sharpton did not like Mike Huckabee's comments at the Republican National Convention's Winter Meeting but liked what Obama had to say on income inequality.

Al Sharpton seemed excited that a main part of President Obama's State of the Union will be addressing income inequality. He was joined by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) to discuss poverty rates in the United States. But then he played a clip of Gov. Mike Huckabee at the RNC's Winter Meeting. Sharpton and Cleaver characterized Huckabee's comments as an attack on single mothers. Cleaver stated:

There's something dramatically and perhaps irreversibly wrong with this country if we can't help those who need help!

Sharpton responded,

Well, uh, Chairman Cleaver I can say you and I were both were ministers and so was Mike Hucklebee but on this issue I join you in giving my 'hallelujah' to the President!

You would think that a self proclaimed "Reverend" would know the word "hallelujah" is deemed for worship. (And yes, during the entire segment Al Sharpton wrongly referred to Gov. Mike Huckabee as "Hucklebee.")
