Could there be a Sen. Michelle Obama (D-CA) in 2018? If so, Sen. Dianne Feinstein is "flattered" at the prospect of the first lady taking over her seat.
CNN's Candy Crowley asked the long-time senator for a reaction to a recent article that stated Mrs. Obama was eyeing Feinstein's Senate seat if she were to retire in 2018. The senator laughed, saying she's not sure what she will be doing then.
Here is there conversation from Sunday's State of the Union:
Crowley: I cannot let you go, senator, without asking about an article I read that posited that Michelle Obama would like to run for the Senate in California, and that she has her eye on your seat in 2018 because the feeling is that you may retire at that point. And so I thought I'd get your reaction to that story.
Feinstein: Oh, did you? Ha, ha. Well, I have no idea what I'm going to be doing in 2018. That's four years from now, and that's one of the nice things of a six-year term. I've served two years of my term and you know, I'll make a decision in due time. I'm flattered, if that should be true. Somehow I do not believe it is true, but I would be flattered if it were.
Crowley added: "I don't know what I'm going to be doing in 2018, either."
TruthRevolt is still trying to figure out what these two ladies are doing presently.
