Ed Schultz started his show touting how the federal government has sold its last bit of stock in General Motors and thanking God - who he speaks for after all - that Obama was elected in time to "save the automobile industry."
Shouting that "both rounds" of auto loans faced opposition from Republicans, Schultz praised Democrats for the bailouts.
Luckily back in 2009 the White House was held by the Democrats and the Senate by the Democrats and the House under Democratic control as well. Now think about this, do you think Boehner do you think McConnell if they had the power that they would have done anything to save the automobile industry? Thank God the right people were in power.
Saying Democrats and President Obama "took action in a timely manner" the MSNBC host then exclaimed,
Damn it! Where is the 'Mission Accomplished' banner I wanna see it!
The host did not mention that the fed lost $10 billion on the deal. Nor did he address the still massive unemployment numbers in MI, the bankruptcy of "Motor City" or the 14 factories GM closed after receiving federal aid.
