Schultz: GOP Hasn't Done a "Damn" Thing for Economy

Ed Schultz is mad at the AP for asking Obama a softball question about his policies in 2013.

On Friday's The Ed Show, Ed Schultz spent the whole first segment of his program complaining about how the White House press corps was too tough on President Obama during his last press conference of 2013.

Schultz blamed Republicans for not getting anything done and rambled about how bad he believes the Ryan-Murray budget deal is. Claiming the auto industry has turned around, jobs numbers are up and Wall Street is rallying are all positive aspects of how Obama has affected the American economy. Schultz exclaimed,

What have the Republicans done to help this economy? I'll blog tonight and say, 'not a damn thing!'

He was then joined by Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) who also lamented those big bad Republicans who are promoting "income inequality" and "more Bush era tax cuts." Schultz played a clip of Associated Press reporter Julie Pace asking President Obama, "Has this been the worst year of your presidency?" Ed then yelled about how hard it would be for Obama to focus on his political agenda with the "mindset" of the media in Washington having a bad "attitude".

He then asked Rep. Ryan,

Congressman, my question to you, how are you supposed to get anything done in an environment when you got reporters sittin' in front of the president askin' him if this is the worst year he's ever had when it's been nothing but a year of accomplishments?

When a not-so-tough question by a reporter is asked of President Obama, he can rely on the MSNBC lineup and hosts like Ed Schultz to whine about it for him. Apparently when you are president, any questions that might point out your flaws are not allowed by Ed.
