It is a small move in a small state with potentially huge implications for the Republican primaries. Carly Fiorina, who went from not making the cut for the first debate to being a contender, just added a raft of people to her campaign team in New Hampshire, reports The Union Leader.
Among the nine new additions are State Rep. Frank Kotowski (R-Hooksett) who said Fiorina's business background is one reason he is backing her:
“I believe that Carly’s background and real world business experience makes her well-positioned to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016,” Kotowski said in a statement from the campaign. “She is well-equipped to do the job of President and is not afraid to fight for the change we need in Washington.”
The Union Leader listed the other eight additions as:
GOP activist Maureen Sullivan Doyle of Bedford, activist Joe Frazier of Canaan, attorney Bobbie Hantz of Stratham, former state Rep. and curren Auburn selectman James F. Headd, activist and small business owner Jean Esslinger Mathieu of Manchester, state Rep. Peter Spanos of Laconia, and Wally Stickney, director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency under former President George H.W. Bush.
Some recent polls put Fiorina in second spot in New Hampshire behind frontrunner Donald Trump.
