Santa Monica Synagogue Vandalized with Feces at Start of Chanukah

In Southern California, the hotbed of “tolerance.”

Leave it to the “tolerant” folks in Southern California to reach out to their Jewish neighbors in an apparently anti-Semitic attack on the first day of Chanukah.

According to various reports, an Orthodox Chabad synagogue, the Living Torah Center, in Santa Monica was defaced with feces over the weekend in time for congregates to arrive for Sunday morning prayer.

The attack didn’t appear to be random, according to Rabbi Boruch Rabinowitz. Assistant Rabbi Dovid Tenenbaum told the Los Angeles Times, “This seems kind of intentional. With a religious artifact [menorah] in the window, we have to assume so.” Plus, no other facades of other storefronts in the strip mall were defaced.

The Living Torah Center was also the target of anti-Semitism back in November which is another reason the rabbis believe the latest attack was pre-mediated. A black man burst inside the synagogue, gave a Nazi salute, shouted “Heil Hitler” and made a machine-gun motion with his hands before running away according to congregants.

A year ago, according to NY Daily News, the synagogue received a letter that stated “Get out of her you Jews” with a printed swastika. The Living Torah’s Sukkot hut was also vandalized around the same time the letter was received.

But Tenenbaum isn’t letting the vandalism sway his mission in any way:

“There are many times that others wanted to annihilate the Jewish people. The Jewish people have succeeded, and we’re still here to talk about it, thank God.”

Meanwhile, the mainstream media continues ignoring hate crimes such as these which are plentiful across America to bring you the latest in Islamaphobia hoaxes.
