When the Obama administration promised to stop spying on foreign leaders, apparently that promise didn't extend to Israel. Reports emerged this week that the NSA may have continued to keep tabs on Israeli politicians, including eavesdropping on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Appearing on Fox and Friends on Wednesday, Republican presidential hopeful and Florida Senator Marco Rubio warned we may not know the whole story.

“[People have] a right to be concerned about the fact that while some leaders around the world are no longer being targeted, one of our strongest allies in the Middle East, Israel, is,” Rubio said.

Rubio, the junior senator from Florida is also a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“I actually think it might be worse than what some people might think, but this is an issue that we’ll keep a close eye on,” Rubio said.

While Rubio said there is cause for concern, he did caution that this media report may not be the full story.
