Riding on the coattails of comedienne Melissa McCarthy's successful send-up of White House press secretary Sean Spicer, former celebrity Rosie O'Donnell has high hopes to do the same with President Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon.
During last week's episode of Saturday Night Live, McCarthy had audiences roaring with laughter with an hilarious impression of Spicer sparring with reporters. Rosie, desperately in need of a career, really hopes she can do the same for Steve Bannon, and has tweeted a Photoshopped image of herself as the Breitbart CEO.
"THANK U FOR MAKING THAT AMAZING ROSIE OBANNON PHOTOSHOP – I LOVE IT," O’Donnell wrote on Twitter. "All credit to johnny smith !!! thank u johnny."
The move to push Rosie as Bannon began with her fans on social media pleading that she take the mantle following McCarthy's performance. She has since expressed glee over the idea, despite SNL not asking her.
"I am here to serve," O’Donnell wrote in response to those asking she'd play Bannon. "Alec has trump – melissa has spice – i would need a few days to prepare – so if called – i will be ready."
Take your time, Rosie.
