After former governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney hit the airwaves to warn the public about presidential candidate Donald Trump last week, he received a backlash from all directions, especially from Trump supporters.
Romney appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show and read some selected feedback from Twitter users in Kimmel's "Mean Tweets" segment.
One was from Trump himself:
“Mitt Romney had his chance and blew it. Lindsey Graham ran for president, got ZERO, and quit! Why are they now spokesmen against me? Sad!” Romney read aloud.
“@mittromney = loser,” another tweet read. Romney responded "That's true, actually, I lost."
The former governor of Massachusetts continued to oppose Trump on the show saying that if Trump got the nomination, he would write "in someone with conservative values."
The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
