Race Hoax: Black Man Apologizes for Painting Slurs on Own Car

We got another one!

In another story to file under race hoax, a 21-year-old man, Dauntarius Williams, has apologized for causing a campus uproar at Kansas State University after painting racial slurs all over his car.

As seen in the photo above, yellow paint was used to write things like, “Go home nigger boy,” “whites only,” and “date your own kind” all around the vehicle. Black students at KSU called a meeting to discuss their outrage that such racism had reared its ugly head. Williams has since apologized, calling the stunt a “prank:”

“I would like to deeply apologize to the community. The whole situation got out of hand when it shouldn’t have even started. It was just a Halloween prank that got out of hand. I wish I could go back to that night but I can’t. I just want to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the pain and news I have brought you all.”

Once the same students learned of the hoax, they were equally outraged, but that didn’t stop the story from spreading on campus and used as online fodder that racism in America is worse than it is.

Even after the FBI got involved, the police decided not to charge Williams with any crime and urged everyone: “While Williams’ mistake had a decidedly negative impact on the community, please recognize that he, like many of us when we were young, is a young man who made a mistake and is now doing his best to own up to it.”
