Piers Morgan Parts Ways With CNN, Threatens NRA

"I wouldn't crack the champagne open too quickly though, @NRA - I haven't finished with you lot yet."

Piers Morgan was sidelined by CNN this year after a steady decline in ratings, in large part a result of his increased obsession with gun control. Tuesday morning Morgan announced that he’s officially parted ways with the news outlet, claiming that he turned down a two-year offer to do 40 “big interviews”—and managing to work in more anti-gun commentary in the process.

In a series of tweets announcing the final breakup, Morgan demonstrated the tone-deafness that got him demoted in the first place, saying he hopes he’ll be remembered most for his gun control lectures. Done.

Morgan also took another shot at the NRA, tweeting, "I wouldn't crack the champagne open too quickly though, @NRA - I haven't finished with you lot yet." They're certainly quaking in their boots.
