Pelosi Almost Misses Chance to Slam GOP Over Impeachment

What with all the talk about the other events happening around the world

Nancy Pelosi stopped by CNN Sunday to speak with Candy Crowley on State of the Union. The segment began with Pelosi softly defending President Obama when Crowley criticized the president for being at photo-ops and fundraisers (some of which Pelosi attended) while the world was "blowing up." But unfortunately for Pelosi, too many things are happening around the world (Israel/Hamas, Vladimir Putin, MH17, etc.) and it almost impaired her opportunity to slam Republicans. Almost.

As the two were discussing U.S. foreign involvement and policy, time got away and the segment came to a close. As Crowley was signing off, Pelosi desperately seized the last 20 seconds to take aim and fire at Republicans:

I think it's important to note though, that through all of this, the Republicans are trying to sue the president -- on a path to impeach the president -- while we're trying to create jobs and have stability in our country and in the world. And I'm sorry that we didn't get a chance to talk more about that.

"We will do that the next time. I promise," Crowley said.
