Jenna Fischer, better known as Pam Beesly from NBC’s smash hit sitcom The Office, got herself into some real trouble on Twitter when she spread false information about the GOP tax bill. However, she has since redeemed herself with an apology unlike most we hear coming out of leftist Hollywood — it was very sincere.

The day before Christmas Eve, Fischer jumped on Twitter and wrote:

I can't stop thinking about how school teachers can no longer deduct the cost of their classroom supplies on their taxes…something they shouldn't have to pay for with their own money in the first place. I mean, imagine if nurses had to go buy their own syringes. #ugh

The actress was inundated with corrections that, in fact, the deduction remained in the final draft of the tax bill even though it was initially threatened. The Republican senator from Utah, Orrin Hatch, joked on Twitter:

Correction: That deduction has been left alone. Whether teachers need pens and pencils or entire reams of Dunder Mifflin’s finest card stock, they can still deduct the cost as they could before. 

Unfortunately, Fischer’s fake news was retweeted over 65,000 times and liked over 220,000 times. Fake news travels fast.

But now, everyone’s favorite receptionist has deleted the tweet and issued a worthy apology other leftists should take note of:

Though she really wants the correction to spread, retweets are currently at just over 5,700 and likes under 30,000. Real news travels much slower. But in the end, we should give credit where credit is due.
