North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan is having a rough campaign season, thanks to President Obama. As a red state Democrat, Hagan is one of those candidates who keeps trying to run away from the President, but just can't get him to stop speaking for her. Today, MSNBC aired a clip that show Hagan's novel new approach: dodge, dip, dive, duck, dodge, and BURN!
NBC correspondent Kasie Hunt asked Hagan if she thought Obama was a good leader. After repeated ducking of the question, Hagan finally says that, no, actually, sometimes he's not so much a good leader.
In North Carolina, running on the President's coattails is a grim prospect. Calling him a bad leader is Hagan's way of trying to out-anti Thom Tillis when it comes to the President's policies that are "on the ballot." If that doesn't work, next week she can always try banning golf.
