With Barack Obama on his way to the West Coast for another round of fundraisers, the White House confirmed that the president would not be visiting the Jimmy Kimmel Show, as reported yesterday.

TMZ is reporting that after they posted the story quoting sources confirming Obama would attend Wednesday's taping, “Kimmel's show publicist told us we were dead wrong ... there was never a plan for Obama to appear. She said she had never heard of any such booking and she would know if that were the case.”

Today, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said there were much more serious matters at hand and Obama will not be making an appearance.
