White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz said today that President Obama thinks his comments on the Ferguson decision last night were appropriate because "most of the protests were peaceful."

According to Knoller, Schultz said that while the White House is "deeply worried and disappointed" about the violent protests and that all responsible should be prosecuted, most demonstrations were both "peaceful and constructive":
After the announcement of the grand jury's decision Monday evening, more than 30 businesses were either looted or burned in Ferguson in a 12-hour period.
