Oh Snap: Obama Smacks Hillary's Syria Strategy

The phrase LOL is thrown around a lot these days, but ...

Among the many clippable moments from President Obama's press conference on Friday was a nice jab at Hillary Clinton's recent "no-fly zone" theory on Syria policy.

Obama had earlier referred to various ideas on what to do about Russia and Syria as "half-baked ideas" and "mumbo jumbo," including some plans endorsed by Hillary Clinton. CBS's Major Garrett asked the President if the half-baked mumbo jumbo category included Hillary because of that. His response was hilariously insulting, as can be seen in the above clip.

Here's the full quote:

On the latter issue, on the last question that you asked, Hillary Clinton is not half-baked in terms of her approach to these problems. She was obviously my Secretary of State. But, I also think that there’s a difference between running for president and being president, and the decisions that are being made and the discussions that I’m having with the Joint Chiefs become much more specific and require, I think, a different kind of judgment, and that’s what I’ll continue to apply as long as I’m here.

Not that the President's plans are working out so well, either. In the marketplace of ideas, we're talking about the difference between buying from the back of some guy's van in an alley, and buying from a stand with a sign that says "We accept sandwiches.'

Still, bet someone's getting a nasty email tonight. Which will then be promptly deleted, of course.
