Two weeks ago, Omar Mateen slaughtered 49 Americans at a gay nightclub in Orlando, pledging allegiance to the Islamic State during the massacre. Months before, he told a friend he was planning to vote for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election.
But during the New York City Pride parade this last weekend, a large banner was carried through the streets that read, "Republican hate kills," as the crowd chanted, "NRA, sashay away:"
Looks like Mateen is off the hook for his killing spree since the GOP and its love affair with guns and the NRA are responsible.
This dichotomy confused many, as Twitchy.com pointed out:
Also off the hook is another Democrat, who is new to supporting gay marriage: Hillary Clinton. She appeared at the parade, marching alongside NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo. (Al Sharpton was there, too, sporting a bright orange National Action Network T-shirt. Don't forget about NAN, everybody.) Her stop at the parade was brief (only four blocks), but don't let that, or her late-to-the-party endorsement of same-sex marriage in 2013, or the fact that she actually ran against it during her 2008 campaign for the presidency, deter from her
pandering profound courage in standing up for the LGBT community -- at least for the last three years.
