NY Mag: 'Weed Weddings Are Probably the Best Idea Ever'

Offers to change the name to "weedings"

New York magazine's Allison P. Davis is heralding "weed weddings" as "the best idea ever."

Driven by the excitement of The New York Times coming out in favor of marijuana legalization and the "pro-marijuana climate" of Colorado that is breeding the latest trend in the form of "weed weddings," Davis couldn't resist adding in her two cents to make weed-themed weddings even more memorable.

Davis pointed out the more common changes to traditional ceremony arrangements by pro-weed bride and grooms, including marijuana-leaf boutonnieres, pot-laced edibles, free joints, and pot-dens for guests. "But," she asks, "why stop there?"

Brides-to-be could commission their own customized strains, stage weed-themed rehearsal dinners, arrange for flower girls to toss sticky buds during the wedding processional instead of flower petals. Endless possibilities.

Weedings: the next craft frontier.
