To the Left, liberty must have its limits; freedom must be constrained.  This is especially true with regard to that dreaded Constitutional virtue they hate the most:  the Second Amendment.  On Monday, humiliated MSNBC anchorman Brian Williams took a stand against Republicans and America’s inalienable rights with a disturbing call to action:

“When do you believe the American people will have had enough?  Enough to push back against the edges of the Second Amendment argument, enough to say we can live under the Second Amendment, but there should be limits?”

Williams’s question was posed to Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal (Conn.), who had joined the five o’clock hour to push an agenda of gun control against the backdrop of Sunday’s Mandalay Bay massacre.

“The president called what happened in Las Vegas pure evil.  If he believes it was pure evil, now is the time to lead,” Blumenthal demanded.  “We saw this evil in Newtown just a few years ago.  Nothing has changed since Newtown.  Congress has been complicit.”

Complicit??

And what similar “evil” did we see—the evil of guns and bullets, or the common denominator of calculated murder carried out by an evil psychopath?

In the most egregious moment of the exchange, Williams went for grandstanding Gold—the favorite lever of the Left, second only to indignant, unfounded accusations of racism:

“Why don't we act? What is the problem? What was it about first graders losing their lives that wasn't sad enough to result in changes?”

So if you disagree with a left-wing, anti-Second Amendment agenda—if you believe that, if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns—then you hate children.  Leftists, on the other hand, love children.  Unless, of course, they feel like killing them in the womb.
