In honor of the president turning 54 Tuesday, Obama sycophant network MSNBC celebrated not by detailing his accomplishments as President of the United States over the last seven years, but for something even more impressive -- his dance moves.
And before Obama leaves the White House, MSNBC wanted to be sure to capture the essence of his presidency. And they did so with the "five times he broke it down in song and dance."
There was that time on Ellen when then-Sen. Barack Obama danced to Beyoncé with Ellen DeGeneres in 2008. Then there was the time in 2012 when President Obama sang some Al Green, then later at the White House with B.B. King. Then more recently with even more dance moves during his July visit to Kenya where he stepped to a traditional dance with the Kenyan president. MSNBC saved its favorite for last; ending its tribute with the couples dance at the inaugural ball between Michelle and Barack Obama, slow dancing to Etta James's "At Last," sung, again, by Beyoncé.
MSNBC hopes that Obama's post-political career might include him entertaining us further via stage or screen. What would happen to MSNBC's collective head if Bill Clinton joined in on saxophone?
