Media Matters has rolled out the "Welcome" mat for Democratic strategist James Carville as a guest contributor.
The outlet's founder David Brock said, "As America's best-known political consultant, we're confident that James' unique voice and sharp wit will provide our readers with an invaluable perspective from someone who has been on the front lines of politics and the media for over two decades."
Unsurprisingly, Carville's first article, Chin-Scratchers Take A Breath, was a full-throated defense against how the media reports on the Clintons.
"It is an ironclad rule that most any journalist covering the Clintons must follow: There shall be one standard for covering everyone else in public life, and another standard for the Clintons," Carville began.
Especially all of those "made-up" scandals, Carville protested, like the latest Hillary Clinton e-mail debacle. Other "fake nonsense" Carville listed about his favorite family included Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate, and Pardongate.
Carville blames the media for this "20-year-old habit" that was most recently sparked anew after the media took "the bait from the Benghazi committee and used it to launch a new, fake scandal" about the e-mails.
"That's what happens when you have one standard for the Clintons, and a different one for everybody else, which is why I'll be writing regularly in this space," Carville stated.
The Daily Caller reacted to Carville's new gig asking its readers to, "Let This Sink In: James Carville Goes From Fox News to Media Matters," a "feat," DC states, "rarely possible."
