During a Politico playbook lunch yesterday at the Mayflower Hotel, the Cheney family held court to a standing room only crowd. The former Vice President was joined by Lynne Cheney and daughter Mary Cheney.

The family hit on a wide range of topics but according to ABC News Lynne Cheney had the best quip of the family. Referring to Hillary Clinton's public remarks about the Clinton's financial situation, Lynne said: "she 'wasn’t so sure' about Dick Cheney becoming Vice President, but that 'we weren’t dead broke!' "

The remarks were met with laughter followed/interrupted by protestors yelling about Cheney war crimes.
