‘Legacy’ John Conyers Wants Taking Over House Seat: His Failed Rapper Son

Once said his dad is “a f***ing player.”

Rep. John Conyers retired from Congress on Tuesday, leaving an empty seat he would like his son, John Conyers III, to take over to continue his “legacy.” That legacy includes several sexual harassment claims and hush-money payouts and signed confidentiality agreements, as we’ve recently learned.

So, who is the younger Conyers? Well, in a nutshell, he’s a failed rapper who bragged about how his “niggas turn grams into grands” and once called his dad “a fucking player and reckless as hell! He just got at this doods wife super low-key.” That was written in a tweet back in 2010.

The rap videos appeared online in 2012 and 2013, and as The Daily Caller noted, “The aspiring artist also rapped about some of the challenges he’s had to live through, such as when his mother, former Detroit councilwoman Monica Conyers, was sentenced to three years in jail for taking bribes, or when Conyers Jr. had to repay the U.S. Treasury for Conyers III’s misuse of a taxpayer-funded Cadillac Escalade.”

Such a great legacy, no?
