If you watched Saturday Night Live this weekend, you saw two Katy Perry performances that you cannot unsee. The first one was super-weird, causing some people on social media to compare the dancers with characters at the capitol in The Hunger Games.
The second one featured her with the hiphop sensation Migos, inexplicably dancing on a table.
While America was in shock over both of these very strange moments, news leaked that the drag queens from the first performance were supposed to have been in the second one as well. But Katy Perry disinvited them when Migos expressed their discomfort with the idea. According to gossip maven Perez Hilton, "I was one of the performers on that table with them the whole time, during the rehearsal for 3 days. On the day of the filming, when I got there, I was told to leave. I wasn't on the set at the time, but we were asking what happened. They said it was because Migos doesn't feel comfortable with having drag queens there."
Here's another account:
So the bottom line is this: Katy Perry acted like she was supportive of drag queens until it might cost her the chance to perform with Migos. Then her support turned to "Don't break a heel on your way out." Typical Hollywood hypocrisy.
