During his daily briefing Friday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest reacted to the Republican debates saying he misses the days of Herman Cain.
In Earnest's assessment, the GOP candidates failed to outline an effective tax policy during the debates.
"I never thought I'd pine for the days of Herman Cain, but at least he had a 9-9-9 plan," he said of the 2012 Republican candidate's tax plan. "It was outrageous, but at least he an affirmative governing proposal."
"Next to all these guys on the stage last night, Herman Cain looks like a policy wonk," Earnest added.
Cain's proposal would have replaced tax rates with a flat 9% rate for three categories: business transactions, personal income, and federal sales tax.
