The first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was a major news event, so Jimmy Kimmel Live went out on the street and asked people what they thought of the debate. The twist is that Kimmel's interviewer hit the streets on the afternoon before the debate even occurred, asking passersby their opinions of "last night's" debate.
Granted, Kimmel said as he set up the clip for his live audience, there is a lot of pressure these days to at least appear to be politically informed. But these clueless potential voters from both sides of the fence were so embarrassingly desperate to seem in-the-know, that the interviewer was able to string them along with questions that should have given the game away, like "What did you think of the moment when Trump challenged Hillary to do pull-ups on the pull-up bar he brought out?"
Check out the special debate edition of Lie Witness News in the short video above. We can't decide whether it's funny or tragic.
