Jeffrey Lord Sarcastically Tweeted ‘Sieg Heil’ to a Fascist, CNN Fired Him

Another victim of the authoritarian Left.

On Thursday, CNN fired conservative commentator Jeffrey Lord after he sarcastically wrote “Sieg Heil” during a Twitter war with Media Matters president and progressive activist Angelo Carusone.

Here’s a little background:

Thursday morning, Lord’s column at The American Spectator went online and eviscerated Carusone and Media Matters as “fascists.” Lord felt quite passionately about this characterization, as he wrote it over and over:

Over there at Media Matters — aka Media Matters Fascists, the anti-free speech bigots who, in typical fascist style, make it their mission to shut down speech they don’t like…

I am even happier that he has put his fascist spirit out there in reprintable form…

You have been playing this fascist game for years with others — Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly etc etc. If there is a conservative with an audience of any size your fascist instinct is not to debate honestly but to simply silence the opposition. Period…

This is America, Angelo. Not Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany or Communist Russia.

Carusone criticized Lord on Twitter, and he responded with the most fascist of fascist salutes to shut him down:

CNN obviously has trouble with context and released the following statement: "Nazi salutes are indefensible. Jeffrey Lord is no longer with the network."

Lord responded, “I love CNN, but I feel they are caving to bullies here.”

I think what he meant to say was, "FASCISTS!"
