Jake Tapper, Trump Sr Advisor Stephen Miller Duke It Out on CNN

Tapper can't handle the truth.

White House senior advisor Stephen Miller was grilled by CNN’s Jake Tapper over the accusations made against President Trump in the highly discredited book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.

Miller called the book “a work of very poorly written fiction” and says Michael Wolff “is a garbage author of a garbage book.” He said events he was personally involved with are recounted in the book against all reality. But that didn’t stop Tapper from pressing him on it anyway.

Miller criticized CNN for “going 24/7 with all the salacious coverage and… bringing you guys a lot of joy sticking the knife in.” Tapper, of course, objected, assuring his guest that his employer doesn’t go after anyone in that way. Miller continued knocking Tapper for being “condescending,” while Tapper continued reading quotes from the book he was already told was discredited.

It exploded from there (around the 6:40 mark) as Miller told Tapper that he would know better than a news person what goes on in the Trump White House. But Tapper has selections from the book that must be addressed!

Miller was relentless in telling Tapper than CNN is more interested in spreading fake news inspired by its agenda than giving the American people the truth. In kind, Tapper was relentless in painting Trump as mentally unstable as evidenced in his tweets.

“Do you think tweets… help or hurt the cause that the president is stable and up for the job?” Tapper asked.

Miller responded:

“Not only do I think they help it, but I think in the toxic environment that you’ve created here and CNN and cable news, which is a real crisis of legitimacy for your network — and we saw it with the extremely fake news you reported about the Don Jr. and WikiLeaks story. That was a huge embarrassment for your network. Just like the hug embarrassment you had when you got the Comey testimony wrong, which you’ve never given a proper accounting.

“The president’s tweets absolutely reaffirm the plain, spoken truth.”

Tapper told Miller he was catering to the “one viewer” tuning in to CNN that’s pro-Trump and being a “factotum just to please him.” At least Tapper is aware of who is and isn't watching!

For the other three or four viewers, Tapper cut the interview short believing he was wasting their time with this interview.
