Jada Pinkett-Smith Hours Before Cops Assassinated: 'Desperate Communities Do Desperate Things'

"We gotta do something."

Just hours before Dallas police officers were shot and killed by black snipers intent on killing whites and cops, TMZ caught up with actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, who inferred that violence against police is essentially inevitable and "sadly predictable."

Arriving at LAX on Thursday evening, a TMZ cameraman approached the wife of actor Will Smith to get her response to the recent killings of two black men by police officers. What she said seemed to eerily predict what would soon be unfolding in Dallas. She was asked, "How do we stop it?" Here's her response:

"That's a good question. Trust me, I've been contemplating it and here's what I know: We gotta do something because at the end of the day, it can't keep happening.

"Desperate communities do desperate things. At some point, we're gonna have to do something."

Later that evening it would come to light that five police officers were assassinated and seven injured by blacks "doing something" in response to perceived systemic racism in law enforcement. This wasn't lost on TMZ either and stated so in its coverage: "It's important to note this video was shot before the Dallas news broke in L.A. But Jada spoke about members of the black community taking extreme measures in impossible times."
