Irony Alert: Fox at the White House

During the government shutdown groundskeeper's at the president's residence were unable to keep away a fox.

President Obama, White House gardeners and the Secret Service are dealing with the nuisance of a wily fox. Apparently the four-legged creature will set off alarms in the middle of the night and try to get into First Lady Michelle Obama's garden which he allegedly "tore through" during the government shutdown. Even though the White House staff is back to normal the red haired pointy eared creature did not get the memo he is no longer welcome.

The Wall Street Journal reports that groundskeepers have tried numerous times to entice the fox into metal traps using chicken and other treats a wild animal is likely to enjoy. None of their efforts have worked. This fox seems to prefer the fruit from Michelle Obama's organic garden.

Media Bistro had some fun with the WSJ piece saying "Fox at the White House... Not That Fox" referring to the Fox News Channel that is often the only major news network holding the Obama administration accountable for different political decisions and scandals.
