On Wendesday's "Talking Points Memo," Laura Ingraham, filling in for Bill O'Reilly, commented on Congressman Boehner's new willingness to convene a select committee to investigate Benghazi.

Ingraham contrasted Boehner's willingness to trust Obama during the budget talks with his newfound skepticism.

"Last March the speaker absolutely could trust the same president who sold a phony narrative about Benghazi weeks after it was debunked?" Ingraham asked. "How could that be?"

"The president has also repeatedly used and abused his executive authority instead of going through that inconvenient body known as Congress."

Laura Ingraham warned that the White House political operation was working to undermine the select committee.

"The administration and its enablers are trying to tar the inquiry as illegitimate," she said.

"The White House political operation has been masterful at selling half-truths and downright lies, about not just Benghazi or the IRS targeting scandal and not just ObamaCare, they've lied about their record on immigration enforcement too."

Ingraham suggested that Boehner take his new skepticism of Obama and "apply it beyond Benghazi to issues like budget, trade and immigration."
